Honeymmon to Hawaii: Day 1

We were so incredibly lucky that, after a beautiful wedding, we were able to take off to the island of Oahu in Hawaii.  Doug had been there once before, and he persuaded me that I would love it.  He was not wrong! I have so many amazing memories from that trip.  My favorite thing to do was spend time on the beach and swim in the warm water.

Here we are, fresh off of the plane.  I couldn't believe how BEAUTIFUL everything was.  The sky, the air, the water.  The palm trees were gorgeous.

After flying for hours and picking up our rental car, we headed to find somewhere to eat.  We had a few hours still until we could check in to our hotel.  We found the first beachfront place we could.

 Naturally, after eating, we headed to find a beautiful beach.  Does it surprise you that Hawaii has no shortage of beachfront?? I remember being so surprised at how warm the ocean water was.

We checked in to our hotel.  As the sun began to sink over the horizon, we took a walk.  Our apartment was on the beach and it was a very short walk to Waikiki beach.  I really couldn't get enough of the beach.

This was our view.  Pretty amazing right?  Our honeymoon was an absolute dream, and I miss Hawaii so much it hurts sometimes.
