Wow! My summer has just flown by, and now it's over. My first day of classes for the fall semester was yesterday, and my teachers are jumping right in! I am taking 4 engineering courses plus a lab, so I'm going to have a busy semester. Perhaps most exciting is the news that I am starting my senior project!! Senior design project is the senior capstone course for Materials Science and Engineering. This is important because I only have 2 semesters left after this.
I was able to have a productive summer, working full time in a research lab in the engineering building. That research assistance ship is such a blessing, and I love going to work there every day! It is time to look back at the things I wanted to do this summer and see if I accomplished my goals.
Things I completed during summer:
Camping
Travel to a beautiful wedding
Swimming
Take private figure skating lessons
Clean out my car
Float the Boise river 2 times
Swim at the clock towers (aka Quinn's Pond)
Skate at least 2 times a week
Items still left to do:
MK Nature Center
Zoo
Whoohoo! I got almost everything done that I wanted to. With 1 week left in August, I still have time to make it to the MK Nature Center and take pictures like I wanted. Maybe I'll even plan a trip to the zoo.
One thing I forgot to include on this list is the Western Idaho Fair. This runs through the 29th, and I would really like to go this year. It is a big event in this town, and there is so much to see and do there.
